2020 ESTATE MAYOTE MAGNUM

Named for the mother of Georges and Daniel Daou, Mayote is a powerful blend that showcases the synergy between three classic Bordeaux varieties grown on DAOU Mountain—Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot. The 2020 vintage presents a sophisticated bouquet of dark berry preserves, black cherry, violets and licorice complemented by mineral notes of graphite and ash. A silky, velvety texture is layered with blackberry and blueberry accompanied by accents of black currant, dark chocolate, freshly cracked black pepper and nutmeg. The palate is elegantly structured throughout, concluding with a long, triumphant finish. This remarkable Right Bank-style cuvée will continue to evolve favorably in the bottle for many years to come.
