This wine belongs to DAOU’s Curious Collection, featuring three-limited edition wines that reflect a spirit of experimentation and innovation under Winemaker Daniel Daou. Blend 39B combines Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot and Petite Sirah to create a powerhouse Paso Robles cuvée. The nose is highly perfumed, offering intense aromas of black cherry, boysenberry, crème de cassis and cocoa with hints of plum, graphite, crushed gravel and saddle leather. Secondary aromas of eucalyptus, toasted almond and allspice reveal layered complexity. A rich, juicy palate bursts with blackberry, blueberry, spicy currant and black plum accompanied by accents of espresso and truffle, while notes of lavender and black olive add balancing contrast. Focused and beautifully structured, with graceful, mature tannins, this wine delivers a long and elegant finish with notes of cherry, pomegranate and dried herbs.
