DAOU for the Holidays

From small food businesses like Etto Pasta and Mama Ganache’s handmade chocolates, to custom artwork from Amanda Lee Design, you can bring the Paso Robles spirit to every corner of your life.
Mama Ganache Artisan Chocolates
Mama Ganache is a local chocolate shop in San Luis Obispo, about a 45-minute drive from the DAOU tasting room. They use organic and fair-trade ingredients for their chocolates and confections, striving to source as many local, ethically produced ingredients as possible. Mama Ganache offers a variety of vegan options as well.
All of their products are made in their production facility in San Luis Obispo on Monterey Street. Ben Taylor and family have owned Mama Ganache since 2018. After attending culinary school specializing in the professional pastry arts in 2016, he worked in a Michelin Star restaurant called Mourad in San Francisco. Since then, he’s focused on chocolates and confections and has had the opportunity to work with a number of wineries for pairings and custom-made truffles.
Growing up, Amanda was always doodling. But when she discovered graphic design in her senior year of high school, it was love at first click! After working in the design field for over ten years at different companies—everything from educational companies to retail shops—she felt unsatisfied creatively and decided to start making artwork on the side.
She now sells her landmark-inspired products online and in over 30 stores across the U.S. What sets her designs apart is they are not just decorative; they are also informative. Her designs combine iconic nature landmarks and typographical facts.
Sierra Honey Farm is a small, specialty, 3rd generation beekeeper committed to producing the finest “RAW,” natural honey in Central California. The farm is located at the base of the Sierra Mountains and has moved operations to Paso Robles on the Central Coast. Exceptional honey is their passion, and building strong relationships with growers, fellow bee enthusiasts, and customers is their priority. They focus on honest, real, raw, small crop honey from secluded private ranches along the California Central Coast

After discovering the art of crafting artisanal pasta during his time in Italy, Etto’s founder, Brian, returned to California’s Central Coast with a passion to bring that experience home. Etto Pasta is more than just a tribute to his family’s heritage and Italy’s “la dolce vita”; each bite embodies tradition and authenticity, reflecting Paso Robles’ dedication to quality and craftsmanship. Etto Pasta invites locals and visitors alike to savor their creations and become part of a vibrant community that celebrates food, family, and the beauty of the Central Coast.
Alle-Pia Salami is an artisanal salami and Italian cured meats manufacturer based in the Central Coast of California. Using only the finest ingredients and traditional old-world family recipes, each small batch is created with love by the talented Antonio Varia, Chef and Owner of Buona Tavola Restaurants. Alex Pellini, Chef Varia’s nephew, came over from Italy in 2009 to help with production and has been instrumental in the creation and supervision of the salami. Every batch made in our state-of-the-art, USDA inspected facility, requires careful supervision and timing to ensure the perfect taste and consistency.
