The 2014 DAOU Estate Mayote is a “tour de force” that showcases the best of DAOU Mountain. This blockbuster wine is intensely pigmented and concentrated in aromas. Infused with crème de cassis, toasted spice and wild herbs in an uber concentrated blend that is voluptuous yet smooth and elegant on the palate. Crème de Cassis greet the palate in a bold performance that includes vanilla bean, violets, graphite, tobacco leaf, ash and licorice. The flavors come together for a finish that is intense yet elegant. This wine will be remembered for a long time and will bring increased reward and pleasure with a few years of aging.
